Best Jewelry Manufacturers for Small Business in the USA

The short answer: for a small jewelry brand making its own designs in the US, start with a casting house that states no minimum. Lukas Casting House in Los Angeles casts in 1 to 2 business days from your wax or CAD, Casting House in Chicago publishes a $100 CAD fee and no minimum order, and Carrera Casting in New York answers the minimum question with a flat no. Stuller is the biggest name and also has no minimums, but it keeps the molds it makes from your design. If you want one partner to handle design through production and do not need Made in USA, MJJ Brilliant produces in Mexico with no minimum order.

We built this list by reading 18 jewelry manufacturers' own websites, FAQs, order policies and service agreements in September 2026. It ranks them on what they put in writing, because that is what you can hold them to: minimums, the few fees anyone publishes, lead times and when the clock starts, and who owns the mold. Lukas Casting House and Casting House, the small brand picks

If you already have wax or printed resin models, speed and a clear intake rule matter most. Lukas Casting House, on South Hill Street in downtown Los Angeles, says there is no strict minimum and turns casting around in 1 to 2 business days from the moment it receives your wax models or approved CAD files. It works in 10 to 22 karat gold, sterling, platinum and brass, and quotes full manufacturing at two weeks to a month. It also advertises special offers starting from 500 grams of metal, which tells you who its volume customers are, so ask what applies at your size.

Casting House in Chicago is the better fit if you need design help. It is one of only two makers we read that publishes a fee: a $100 CAD charge on custom fancy shape ring orders, with a two day turnaround on standard CAD designs. Its order policy states no minimum order requirements, it quotes 7 to 10 days for casting with complex pieces taking several weeks, and wax received by 2:45pm central ships in metal the next day. It says all its gold is certified 100% recycled and it is RJC certified. Two things to note: it runs sites in both Chicago and Bangkok, so confirm where your pieces are cast, and it takes a non refundable deposit on any new model, mold or CAD drawing for card and cash accounts.

Carrera Casting, for casting and nothing else

Carrera Casting on West 48th Street in New York has the shortest answer to the question every small business asks. Is there a minimum order quantity? No. It casts in more than 50 alloys, including gold, platinum, palladium, sterling, brass and bronze, fixes minor file problems at no charge, and bills extra for what it calls major surgery on a CAD file. It is an RJC member.

The catch is scope. Carrera does no plating, stone setting or assembly in house, so you will need a finishing partner, or a caster that does both. For a brand with a bench jeweler or a finishing shop already lined up, that is fine. For a first collection with no team, it adds a handoff you have to manage.

Stuller, big, fast and the mold stays in Louisiana

Stuller in Lafayette, Louisiana is the largest name on most lists and advertises no limits and no minimums. You need a trade account with a W-9 and a state resale license. Its CAD and CAM service quotes 10 to 15 business days with a wax or resin preview in about three, charges a CAM fee per piece, and sets a cancellation fee of $50 to $150 after 90 days. It casts in its own SCS certified recycled precious metal grain.

Read the service agreement before you use it for your own designs. Stuller states it retains ownership of any models or molds it creates based on your submitted design, and that it has no obligation to deliver any CAD file. That is a reasonable model for a jeweler ordering from Stuller's catalog. For a brand whose designs are the business, it means a reorder elsewhere starts from zero. Stuller is the only maker we read that answers the ownership question at all, which is to its credit.

Hoover and Strong, recycled metal and repeat runs

Hoover and Strong in North Chesterfield, Virginia runs a contract casting service that publishes its timing clearly: 1 to 20 piece orders in 3 to 4 business days when you provide the wax, and new model and mold services in 10 to 14 business days. It reserves metal molds for large production over 500 pieces, which is a useful signal of where the real minimums in jewelry come from. It casts in gold, platinum, palladium and silver and offers SCS certified 100% recycled metal and Fairmined gold. A business license is required, and mold pricing is not visible without an account.

MJJ Brilliant, full service with production in Mexico

MJJ Brilliant has a New York office and a Long Island center, and says its Mexico facility runs under USMCA rules, which it presents as a duty advantage. It states no minimum order requirements, quotes 2 to 3 weeks for many repeat styles after designs are approved and 10 to 14 days from production to delivery, and is an RJC member that uses recycled precious metals. It is also the only US facing maker we read that publishes a vermeil spec, over 2.5 microns, and it offers PVD on stainless steel. Its terms list CAD and design fees as non refundable, without the amount.

It is a good fit for a brand that wants one partner from sketch to finished piece and does not need to print Made in USA. If you do need that claim, look at the in house New York and Los Angeles casters above.

Custom Fashion Jewels, Empire and the rest

Custom Fashion Jewels focuses on fashion jewelry in brass, bronze, stainless, zinc and pewter as well as gold and silver, and publishes one of the clearest timelines: two weeks of development, 3 to 5 days for molds and three weeks of production, or 3 to 5 weeks from design approval in its FAQ. Its homepage says no minimum order quantities while its FAQ says a typical MOQ starts at 50 pieces, and its California address is labeled for shipping purposes only, so ask where production happens.

Empire Casting House lists a factory on West 46th Street in New York and Fairmined certified gold, which matters if traceable metal is part of your story. It publishes no minimum, fee or lead time. Kaprielian and AJC Jewelry in Manhattan state that every step happens in house, and MCM Technologies and Lee's Manufacturing in Providence, Rhode Island serve larger fashion jewelry programs. None of them publishes terms, so treat them as quote only.

What to watch for with "US" jewelry suppliers abroad

Several suppliers that appear in US small batch lists make jewelry in India or China. Essentials Jewelry has pages titled for US and New York brands and a factory in Jaipur. Mangla International has city pages for New York, Los Angeles and Rhode Island and describes itself as a Jaipur manufacturer. JewelPin ships worldwide from India and states the clearest overseas terms we found: 10 pieces per design with a $1,000 minimum order value. None of that is a reason to avoid them, and several hold RJC and SEDEX certifications. It is a reason to check the plant address before you promise customers anything about origin.

Four questions that turn a quote into a budget

Whoever you choose, ask the same four things in writing. What are the CAD, model and mold charges for each new design? What is the unit price at your first run and at your 12 month volume? Who owns the mold and the CAD file, and will they ship them on request? What plating thickness in microns will they hold, and will they provide a thickness report and a lead test report? No maker we read publishes a plating thickness, so if you do not write the number, nobody will.

Once the first run is in hand, most small jewelry brands sell on content, and short videos from real creators wearing the pieces are usually cheaper to test than a photo shoot.
